In March in the cities of Nurek, Dangara, Baldzhuvan and in April in the city of Khovaling, the Tajik Family Planning Association, with the financial support of the UN Population Fund, conducted 3-day trainings for personnel of Khatlon Maternity health houses to teach audit near miss case analysis and clinical audit.
During the process, the following topics were discussed: 1) “The quality of care for mothers and children” and the possibilities for its improvement; 2) "Principles for auditing near miss case analysis", which highlighted the differences between the near miss case analysis on the principles from the old system.
During the training, the participants worked in groups and learned how near miss cases improve the quality of care for women with severe preeclampsia and helps to reduce after birth bleeding.
Practicing skills and evaluating the use of near miss case principles and methodology strengthened theoretical knowledge and contributed to its improvement.
In all Maternity health houses specialists rated the content, usefulness and organization of the seminar with a high score.
