The session was held on the theme: "Educational function of the theater" on June 22, 2018. At this session, young people learned about the formation of the theater, the place of the theater in history and 3 goals of the theater. The theater is a spectacular art form combining various arts and possessing its own specificity: it reflects reality, conflicts, characters, as well as their interpretation and evaluation. The theater aims to change the knowledge of the target audience, as well as attitudes and behavior.
At the session, volunteers learned that the theater was always a bridge between education, education and entertainment. From the earliest times it was used to spread news and inform people about important events. In modern times, there has appeared such a direction in education as the use of theater in the educational process. This technique is especially used for teaching young people. Often theatrical productions are used to improve the knowledge of young people in the field of human health, family planning methods and STIs. Thanks to this activity, young people was able not only receive new knowledge, but also participate in the created events, and learn the problems from inside. At the session, the volunteers tried themselves as actors and played small scenes, where each of them tried on the role of people with problems related to HIV, alcohol, drugs and unwanted pregnancies. Volunteers were able to experience all emotions of their characters and coped well with the goal.
