Session on: “Oratory”

On August 2, 2018, was held session on "Oratory". At the session, TFPA volunteers learned that oratory is the art of persuasive public speaking.
Oratory includes rhetoric, acting and psychological techniques. After, volunteers talked about the qualities of the speaker, such as erudition, literate speech, clear expression of thoughts, good diction, perfect voice type, skill to answer questions, be ready to keep in touch with the public, pronunciation with the necessary intonation. The discussion of the history of appearance of oratory was an interesting aspect of the session. Oratory first appeared in Ancient Greece. Oratory was a social phenomenon, which became an urgent need for public discussion and resolution of public important issues. At the end of the session, volunteers performed 4 exercises to improve their public speaking and oratory. This knowledge will be necessary for volunteers as future SRHR peer educators.
