Then volunteers moved on to the topic related to Islam and family planning. They received some information about Sharia and Islam. For Muslims, the Sharia is the Divine Law. Person, who follows Sharia, becomes a Muslim. Islam provides a social system, public and private life for Muslims. Further, the volunteers learned that the fatwa is a solution in Islam, to any issue, raised by the mufti, faqih or alim. It is based on the principles of Islam and the precedents of Muslim legal practice.
Often such decisions concern methods of family planning. In Islam, two types contraception are allowed. These are reversible and irreversible contraception.
Irreversible contraception is allowed only when woman’s life is in danger, or her health is seriously threatened.
Then volunteers learned about the factors that allow using contraception such are: the observance of the interval between births of children, the preservation of the external beauty of the wife, the preservation of the life of the wife, the fear of failure and fear of difficulties associated with the number of children.
At the end of the session, volunteers were divided into groups for a game where they selected situations and chose the most suitable contraceptive method for each situation.
