Principles and counseling support on family planning during COVID 19 pandemic

Three-day training sessions were held in Dushanbe and Khujand on September 17-19 2020, later from 24-26 in Kulob and Khatlon. The trainings were covering «Principles and counseling support on antenatal care, family planning and gender-based violence during COVID 19 pandemic" within this projects framework "Strengthening the national capacity and preparing them for actions against Covid-19" with the support of the Tajik Family Planning Association, funded by the UN Multilateral Trust Fund for Response and Recovery from COVID-19.
The purpose of this trainings was to train specialists from reproductive health centers to work in the current epidemiological situation, to take additional measures to protect patients and medical workers. These measures include changes in the schedule and approach of surveillance, necessary recommendations for patients in the epidemiological situation of COVID-19. The main objective of this project is to provide alternative "online" reproductive health (RH) services and basic psychosocial care during the COVID-19 pandemic using mobile communications and Internet applications such as Viber, Whatsapp and IMO. The population of the Republic of Tajikistan will have the opportunity to receive quality consultations in the field of RH and basic psychosocial assistance with the possibility of referral to RH facilities and limitation of personal contact with other people and patients during the Covid-19 pandemic. Totally were trained 62 specialists from the RH Center.
